June 28, 2008 - 09:45 GMT
Microsoft is to stop selling Windows XP on June 30, but many people are confused on what that actually means. What will happen after that date is that Microsoft will no longer be supplying the retail chain with (shrink-wrapped) copies of Windows XP. April 24, 2008 - 22:50 GMT
Last week I attended the Microsoft 2008 Global MVP conference. On the closing day I attended a keynote by Microsoft's CEO Steve Ballmer. He had a few interesting comments and things to share, one of which has been widely reported in the news by now, which was his comment that Windows Vista was 'a work in progress'. He got a good round of applause from the 1,700+ MVPs in the audience.

April 4, 2008 - 12:15 GMT
Maybe you've heard/read some reports that Microsoft is 'extending' the Windows XP 'lifetime'. These reports typically just report that Microsoft decided to extend Windows XP's availability by two years (from June 30 2008 to June 30 2010), but this isn't the whole (or the correct) story.
